wow..

It's been forever since I posted much!

My bday is tomorrow, baby is due in just under 2 weeks and there's a full moon tomorrow..think it could happen? I could possibly share a bday with my new little man!? It would be amazing, Landon's going to his grandmas for a couple of days so I can get things done (and relax on my birthday!) so the timing would work well ;) I'm done with the preggo thing, really, really done. I was fine until about last week, but now he's dropped waaaay down and walking, sleeping, etc is more than a little difficult. Had a blast Trick or Treating with Landon last night, I walked the whole 2 hours and it just made me tired, haha.

I still have a few things to do, mostly cleaning up the boys' room..there are toys everywhere, boxes from baby clothes, etc, etc, etc. Everything is all washed and put away though and I think we have everything we "need." Diapers are stressing me out a bit, I'm not sure if I'll get paid again before he shows up. I know he probably won't, but it's still enough to stress about a bit!

Landon's been sleeping in my bed again, what a habit to restart! Ah! It's like pulling teeth to get him into his bed, but at the same time I'm not up for the fight and he'll just wake up in the middle of the night and crawl into our bed anyway so it's not even worth it, haha.

I got spoiled a few days ago by one of the best friends a girl could have! She did my hair (made the decision to go a little darker so when it grows in it'll match a little better instead of being so light) and then we went shopping! She got a ton of stuff for the baby for my birthday, he's gonna be the handsomest kid in the city! ;) He's set for clothes, we got him a super soft monkey blanket, monkey snowsuit and on and on! Now he just needs to show up already!!

Anyway, gotta get back to work, I'm exhausted and the time change just means I got up at the same time and have to work an hour later!

Shopping!

I FINALLY got the new baby boy a couple of things! We don't "need" much, we have all Landon's stuff and he was a winter baby, so we're pretty much covered, but every new baby deserves SOMETHING new. The clearance section at Target had some super cute stuff by Dwell Studio, so I got him

Too cute! The airplane one is size 3-6 month but that should be about spring/summer time if he follows his brothers growth pattern, lol. The other is 0-3 month and could possibly be a going home outfit, depending on his size. (That's my excuse for buying it anyway ;) )

Since I didn't have Landon with me (at his "Maw-maw"'s for a few days while hubby heals from surgery) I got a chance to check out the bottles they have available. We still have the Playtex drop in style from Landon (that he maybe used 5 times in his life) but I was looking at the adiri bottles because I've heard good things. Those things are pretty $$ compared to the others, but since we wouldn't use them much I might put just a pair them on my wish list in my head! Then I could pump and let Landon and daddy feed every once in awhile. I don't think I want anything to do with the glass ones, I've got a klutzy hubby and a big helper 2 year old and I could see that possibly ending badly.

While we're on wishlist-y stuff, and I've actually got time to put up a blog, I totally found the stroller I <3! I took Landon to Babies R Us a few weeks ago to get out of the house and we checked out strollers. Who better to go with me than the guy who is going to have the most opinion! I know he's already 2, but he love, love, LOVES to ride in the stroller, he gets all excited about it. I was looking for one with good wheels (our zoo has different textured paths, so that's the main thing, if it can get through the zoo paths it can get through anything) and the Sit n Stand looks like the wheels are kind of junky (for lack of a better word). I dont like the small plastic wheels like that, they're just asking to get stuck in the mud/grass/weird stuff they have at the zoo, lol! So we found this one:

It's cheaper than the Graco and I couldn't get Landon out of it! He starting having a fit when I tried to get him to try out another one. He likes it because the foot rest kicks up and it's like he's got his own recliner, lol. It has great reviews, the wheels look like they'd put up with some rougher terrain and apparently it's comfortable! I like that I could have new baby facing me or in the carseat (it comes with an attachment that fits our seat..plus our seat matches the stroller, lol, added bonus!) and Landon could still face out at the world. You can also take the back seat off and use it as a single stroller with a massive storage basket, so when Landon outgrows it, it would still be usable. Who knows, maybe hubby'll manage to get a good job by then or my second big transcription thing will keep trucking. Not a need, but if it happens, it happens and that would be cool. Hubby said that if I save up for it and all our bills are paid he doesn't care since we don't need to get anything big for this baby otherwise and it's useful.

Anyway! I've rambled on, I need to get to work!

Poem

No idea who the author is, this was posted on a board I frequent. I wanted to keep this poem where I could read it every once in awhile, it totally made me cry. I'm so, so grateful and in love with this lil boy in my belly, but I still miss the baby that was in there before him that I never got to meet.

I thought of you, closed my eyes, and prayed to God today
I asked, "What makes a mother" and I know I heard him say.
"A mother has a baby, this we know is true."
But God can you be a mother if your baby's not with you?"

"Yes you can," he replied with confidence in his voice.
"I give many women babies, but when they leave is not their choice.
Some I send for a lifetime, and others for a day.
Some I send to feel your womb, but they are not able to stay."

" I just don't understand God, I want my baby to be here."
He took a deep breath, cleared his throat, then I saw the tear.
"I wish I could show you what your child is doing today.
If you could see your child's smile with all the other children and hear him say...
"We go to earth to learn our lessons of love, life, and fear.
My mommy loved me oh so much, I got to come straight here.
I feel so lucky to have a mom who has so much love for me,
I learned my lessons quickly and my mommy set me free.
I miss my mommy oh so much, but I visit her everyday.
When she goes to sleep, her pillow is where I lay
I stroke her hair, kiss her cheek, and whisper in her ear.
Mommy don't be sad today I'm your baby and I'm here."

So you see my dear daughter, your child is okay.
Your babies are born here in my home and this is where they'll stay.
They'll wait for you with me until your lesson are through
and on the day you come home, they'll be at the gate for you.
So now you see what makes a mother, it's the feeling in your heart.
It's the love you had so much of, right from the very start.
Though some on earth may not realize, you are a mother until their time is done,
They'll be up here with me one day and know you are the best one!"

So I'm like 14 weeks, 5 days today and finally got out the maternity shirts because all my other ones are getting ridiculous to try to wear (other than the like 2 or 3 that fit!). I pulled this shirt on and hubby liked it, so I just stuck with it and figured he might as well take a picture of my belly while I had the camera loaded with charged batteries, lol. I'm way bigger than I was with Landon, with him I was like 16 weeks and still in completely normal clothes all across the board. I weighed myself today and I've gained about 4 pounds since I was last weighed (in like January, lol!)

Landon cuteness: When he calls me and I'm upstairs and he's downstairs or vice versa, he's been saying either, "Mommy baby? Where are ya?" Or, "Hunna! Hey hunna, where are ya?" Hehehe, can't tell what hubby calls me now can you??

Nothing like hair cream!

So today I was in the bathroom (I know, I know) and Landon came in and said, "Mommy, hair wash?" and I told him he was going to have a bath tonight, he said, "Yeah!" I asked if he wanted a bath at that moment, and he said no. His hair was fine at this point. I go back into the office to get some files slammed out for a client and he comes back in. He hands me a tube, and I thought it was toothpaste (mainly because he goes, "Mommy! PASTE!" But when I close the top I realized it was A&D that he managed to reach. Great. I look at him and he had put it in his hair! Apparently he's been watching Daddy put gel in his hair and thought he'd do the same (Hubby sometimes 'does' Landon's hair when he's in there watching him). So he's walking around with white gunk in his hair because I'm trying to finish files and all I could do was laugh. A little while later, he brought my in one of his cars and his hand was all pruny. Great. Last night I put the humidifier in his room because he's had a cold and icky cough (which, by the way, he made sure to share!). He had taken the top off and was playing with his cars in the resevoir section, "washing" them and he needed a towel to dry them off with. *SIGH*

I love my 2 year old, my days are never dull!

Almost all moved in...

So we moved...again. I'm so tired of moving I could scream. I'd like to stay in the apartment for awhile but I say that every time we move and then we seem to move again. Anyway! Hubby's been awesome, leaving me at the apartment with the little guy while he finishes up what they didn't get with the truck (you know, all the crap that seems to accumulate and hide under beds? LoL). My poor office is crammed full of baby stuff at the moment, guess it'll be that way for a few months but oh well. We like the apartment well enough! Our bedroom furniture all fits in our room, Landon has plenty of space and my office is nice :) I like having 2 bathrooms again too! The kitchen is decent, way roomier than what we've had in the past, our big freezer fits in the corner so I have everything at my fingertips. I'm still tired all the stinkin time, my couple days off I napped with Landon (for 3 hours at a time!) and I missed that today! He came down with a cold Monday and I was up every hour with the poor guy because he'd wake up screaming/crying something terrible! Now he acts fine, his nose is just fountain-esque and I've managed to catch it, imagine that! Oh well, this is the first real cold we've had in a year so that's not too terrible!

Yesterday hubby and I had our 4th wedding anniversary. He got me a carnation from the same florist that I got our wedding bouquets from, so that was sweet! I'm suprised he managed to remember the place I went to get my flowers that day! For our anniversary dinner, we had homemade "peetz" (pizza) at Landon's request, hehe.

All in all, hubby's been awesome, my mood has been stinky and Landon has been pretty darn cute!
